The "Academic Forum on Quality Evaluation of Degradable Vascular Stents," hosted by the National Institute for Food and Drug Control, Daxing Biomedical Base of Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park, and Beijing Amet Medical Device Co., Ltd., was recently held in Beijing.

At the forum, 10 experts from universities, hospitals, research institutions, and testing agencies delivered keynote speeches on topics such as the latest advancements in cardiovascular materials and devices, clinical application of degradable stents, and review of bioresorbable drug-eluting stents. Nearly 200 delegates attending the forum also engaged in interactive discussions regarding the technical aspects of quality evaluation for degradable vascular stents.

Relevant experts believe that this forum has established a communication platform for experts and enterprises in the fields of materials, medicine, evaluation, and testing, which has played a positive role in promoting the orderly development of the degradable vascular stent industry and better facilitating the establishment of the "fully degradable polymer stent testing and evaluation system" project, a key national research and development plan during the 13th Five-Year Plan period.
